Where are the meetings and when?The amazing Tabby House Brewing Company has agreed to host 100 Women. Tabby House is located in Darien at 111 Broad Street. Exact dates and times will be communicated to the members prior to the meeting.

May friends be invited to the meeting?Yes, guests are very welcome to attend! Only members, however, are allowed to vote.

How long are the meetings?The actual process of presenting and voting will take less than an hour. However, we offer a social time before the business meeting for members to get to know each other. Members are also encouraged to stay after to enjoy socializing.

Are there refreshments?As this is a charitable group, drinks will be available for purchase at the bar.

What if I cannot attend a meeting?The opportunity to meet and gather with like-minded women is a benefit to being a member of 100 Women. While meeting attendance is encouraged, it is not a requirement. Only those in attendance at a meeting, however, will be able to vote on the three presenters.

How is the amount of the grant determined?The amount will be dependent on donations received and will be calculated before each quarterly meeting. The more members, the greater impact on our community.

Which organizations can be nominated for the quarterly grant?The organization must be a recognized 501(c)3 for at least one year. Churches or governmental entity are also eligible (For the benefit of a specific program under the umbrella of the church or governmental entity that is providing aid to our community). All must serve McIntosh County

Do the two nonprofits who are not selected at the meeting get any benefit?Only the winner will receive the quarterly grant. Members who would like to support one of the other entities may contribute directly to that organization. In addition, each presenting organization will be raising awareness about their mission and will be eligible for re-nomination.

May the organization who wins the grant be able to receive another grant in the future?Yes, after two years.

How do members join?Join online through the Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation.

How long is the membership commitmentWe ask for a one-year commitment. Renewals will be made in February. If initial enrollment is made in the middle of the year, Payment may be made only for the quarters remaining through February if desired.

Who leads 100 Women?A Steering Committee of four is assisted by Team Captains, who will be in communication with their team members. The group is an independent organization, modeled after other successful giving circles, and is comprised entirely of volunteers

Who can nominate and vote?Members who have signed up and paid their dues are eligible to nominate and vote.

Is my contribution tax deductible?Yes, donations will be made through Communities of Coastal Georgia Foundation (CCGF), and CCGF will provide donors with a tax deduction letter following payment. To donate, please click here.

Are contributions in excess of $400 accepted?Absolutely! Many members choose to donate more as they feel led and are able, knowing that their donations will have a significant impact on our community. Any donations over $400 will be included in the quarterly grants, except that a very small portion will be used to cover necessary administrative fees; as 100 Women was created and is managed by volunteers, administrative expenses are minimal.
